My Library

I've worked at the Greenfield Community College Library since August 2005. During that time, we've gone through many changes!

• We've moved to a temporary location while our old space is renovated over the next few years.
• Since 85% of our circulating books are in storage, patrons must request books a day in advance.
• Carol Letson, who has been our Director for the past 16 years, will be retiring on June 30th. She's currently exploring several possible adventures for the future, including creating libraries in developing countries through the Peace Corps.

My interests in librarianship include:

• Information Literacy Instruction. Check out this Library Instruction Wiki.
• Technology. I'm currently developing a Blackboard site for the Library's work study students, and creating several online tutorials, which can be embedded in Blackboard sites for specific courses. I've found a lot of resources on Merlot.

My interests beyond librarianship include:

• Buddhism
• Mountaineering
• Poetry
