Reference Collections in School Library Media Centers

We are a group of media specialists trying to determine what a good basic refence collection (both print and internet) might consist of in a K-5 school. Points to consider are:

• a limited budget
• frequently sketchy internet access
• a shortage of up to date equipment
• access to Old Colony Network databases
